Pros: Very sturdy/stable feel to chair. Recline and lift work smoothly. Assembly was simple. Vinyl does have similar look/feel of leather as other reviewer mentioned. Cons: Seat not as padded as other office chairs. Arrived with some minor dust/factory residue that had to be wiped clean.

Very nice chair, March 10, 2012

This is a very nice and comfortable chair of a high build quality, though the packaging was damaged a little bit, and the nylon net was a little bit worn and teared at the edge on the back.
The back may not be high enough if you want all your head to be able to relax. I am 5’6″ and the top edge of the back can reach the back side of my head in the middle.
The design is thoughtful. When you are turning around, the out-most point on the hand rest is the part that can reach the farthest away, so this means if the hand rest won’t touch other objects, say the table corner, the back of the chair won’t, either.
When adjusted to the highest position, the cushion can reach at about 23″ above the ground. This is definitely high enough for most tables that you want to type on. Actually the reason I bought this chair is because my old chair was too short and sitting and typing on that for a while makes my back hurt.
Overall, very nice chair.

I am only giving 4 stars because when the package arrived it was very mangled and slightly torn open even. I was worried that the peices would be broken or missing but all was there and the condition was good so no worries. The chair itself looks great, was easy to assemble and is nice and comfy. I use it on a carpeted floor in my home office and it rolls very easy too.

This is not an amazing chair, but simply decent. When you first look at it, you can tell that it is a mesh-leather hybrid, which to me seems like it would be hit or miss. In this case, I would say its somewhere in between.

Assembling the chair was easy enough, and it is built fairly sturdy. However, when I first sat down in it, it felt very odd. The leather sections seem to protrude and hit you at weird angles, while the mesh allows you to fall back a bit. Perhaps this will take some getting used to, but it feels slightly disconcerting. Also, the use of mesh can make your skin itch from time to time.

The way this chair sits is also odd, with the back of the chair sitting a bit far back on the base. It is also slightly angled up. I’m still not too sure if I like how this forces your posture (forces your legs to be angled up and for you to have to sit farther back in the chair). Also, this is listed as a High Back chair I would have to say it is somewhere in between a High and Mid back. I am 6’2 so understandably I probably wouldn’t be able to rest my head on the back of the chair, but the back of the chair only comes up to my shoulders.

I am a bit disappointed in myself for this purchase. I thought this would be a quality product but the pictures do lie a bit and don’t show a lot of the oddities like the angled seat and the back being far. Luckily I have another office chair that is full leather and built how you would expect a standard chair to be. I bought this chair for my girlfriend who is a lot shorter than I am, so hopefully the far back and angled seat don’t mess with her too much.

Nice chair for home office or work office, May 5, 2009

Good quality chair. Did not take long at all to assemble. When putting in the bottom bracket, please note the screws needed for this are already in the bottom cushion. Just remove the screws from the underside of the cushion, put the metal bracket in place (it will end up holding the section that has the wheels), and use the screws to secure it in place. I have purchased two of these chairs.

I purchased this chair to use at my sewing table. My previous chair had arms on it and was real big. This one is what I call a “secretarial chair”. It is smaller but very comfortable. It has the hydraulic for adjustment. Now I can get real close to my sewing machine as it will fit under my table. I love it and it is a beautiful blue. Free super saver shipping as well. Thinking about getting an Aeron? Please read these informed decision points first, November 4, 2009

I’ve purchased 5 Aaron chairs within the last 14 months. I’ve had the technicians out to replace parts under warranty. Because of those issues, I had to repeatedly contact the vendors, Amazon, Herman Miller and the local chair technicians. Even so, I don’t regret buying the chairs pending arrival of a worthy competitor to drive prices lower.

The ones I purchased include three highly adjustable models with lumbar support and two of the PostureFit. To be certain I know what I’m talking about, you can see my verified purchase logo on this review and here Aeron Chair – Highly Adjustable Graphite Frame – Carbon Wave (Large) by Herman Miller. Below I offer inputs based on recent experience with these chairs. One more thing. I’ve had back problems – I had spinal fushion surgery (it was successful). I mention that because it explains why I was motivated to research ergonomic chairs.

We’ll get to what to do if your Aeron chair has problems, but first let’s cover the basic decisions to get the right chair as numbered below.

(1) Price. I’d never guess an Aeron chair would be this expensive from looking at one in person. Yet it costs less than most true ergonomic chairs. Unless you’re into fashion and have the budget, forget about almost all competitors to this chair. As style increases, price increases geometrically. So far nobody beats Herman Miller, in my view, probably because it benefits from scale. Herman Miller (HM) sells large orders direct to the federal government too – using a GSA Schedule (contracting vehicle to sell to the feds). By definition, that’s the lowest price anyone pays for this chair. As soon as I find a worthy competitor to this chair with at least equal value, I’ll update my review.

Unfortunately for me, I found out late that HM runs semi-yearly sales on the Aeron. I called HM only after my last purchase. Their week long sales run starting the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday), and then again about six months later. Typically, HM allows authorized vendors to sell at 15% discount from suggested retail price – but only during the official sales.

Hopefully you can qualify this purchase as a business expense. The tax code currently favors furniture purchases by businesses that have offsetting revenues. If you want to know more about this, look up “Section 179″ on Wikipedia.

(2) Warranty. You always get a 12-year warranty when you buy an Aeron from a HM authorized dealer, period. I have no insight on whether HM will be a viable company 12 years from now, but remember the warranty. If you buy new, go through the channel that includes warranty, and if you buy used, get the remainder of warranty transferred to you.
For goodness sake, don’t unpeel the sticker on bottom of frame underneath the seat. That sticker is about .5″ x .5″. The all-important sticker gives the Factory Order Number and the Born-On date, needed to exercise the 12-yr warranty. Write it down the number on the sticker; keep a duplicate record. When you call HM or the local technician, they only ask for the number on the little sticker. Literally, no other information was requested of me.

(3) Size. They come in A, B or C. A is the smallest, C the largest. Find Aeron chair dimensions for all 3 sizes posted on the Internet. I’ve never seen size A. Most people should go to a brick & mortar store that carries Aeron chairs and sit on the sizes they carry. B, the medium size, will cut off short on the bottom thigh for many. I believe C will fit many more people than B. Beware that if you’re quite tall, then even C will cut off short under the thighs where you need support. If so, you might not even want an Aeron. Also, there is one easy way to tell the size of an Aeron: stand behind chair and feel under inside of upper frame lip (just behind the embossed Herman Miller logo) for Braille-like dots. 3 dots is for size C, 2 for B, and 1 for A.

For some, there’ll be a tradeoff because size C is a little wide. I have size Cs, all my Aerons. You can get used to sitting on a wide chair but you need support along the bottom of the thighs. Notice the waterfall edge of seat shape on all Aeron chairs – that is to easily allow blood circulation when seated and it works.

(4) Model type. This is where I’m likely to be most helpful to you. For most people the highest end model, the PostureFit, is not the best. The PostureFit X-shaped support piece protrudes too low for almost all of us. We need support in the curved lumbar region of our backs. Take a look at “vertical column” in Wikipedia and see the diagram. Incidentally, orthopedic surgeons perform more surgeries related to the disk between L4 & L5 than any other area of the back.

The Herman Miller Aeron Chair – Quite Possibly the Best Office Chair Available, October 15, 2009

May 2, 2010 UPDATE: The main support cylinder for the height adjustment has started to leak so the chair slowly will lower down as the day goes on. I contacted Herman Miller and they said it is covered under their 12 year warranty. But, I would have to go back to the original seller. I contacted The BackStore and they had their Herman Miller service person call me (after several days of waiting for the call). I was informed that they will mail me a box for the chair and it would be up to me to ship the chair to them for repair. I explained that I can’t do without the chair that long. I don’t have another one for a backup. She told me that’s the only way the warranty will work. They won’t send me the part so I can install it myself. This is VERY disappointing to have an expensive chair that can’t be repaired without going through a lot of trouble. Keep this in mind when you buy something from an online retailer. The initial price might be a lot better but sometimes things like this happen. I think I will contact Herman Miller and explain it to them. Perhaps I can get their dealer in Fargo (70+ miles from Grand Forks) to do the needed repair under warranty.

Herman Miller Aeron Chair w/PostureFit Lumbar Back…

When my office chair broke recently I decided to look for one that is not only very comfortable to sit in but will last a long while. I searched all over the internet and asked questions of a lot of people. It was a general consensus that if price is of no object, the Herman Miller Aeron chair is the way to go.

I’m a hefty person (360 pounds) and I’m hard on furniture. I spend a lot of my time in front of my computer and being well supported and comfortable is very important to me. Most chairs have little to no warranty, are not made in sizes to suit a wide variety of body types, and are flimsy for the most part.

The Herman Miller Aeron chair has been around for some years now so they already have a good track record for durability and quality. I don’t think I’ve seen any other manufacturer’s warranty that can come close to the 12 years they offer.

The Aeron chair is made in a wide variety of ways to suit almost anyone’s body type. They are made in three basic sizes, A, B, and C with the C size being the largest chair. You can buy it with no lumbar support or with two types of lumbar supports. I opted for the PostureFit adjustable version.

The Aeron chair is totally different from other chairs. There is no foam rubber, cloth upholstery or springs to sit on. The seat material that they call “pellicle” is stretched drum tight in the frame and it conforms to fit you according to your weight and shape. It’s also cool to sit on as air passes right through the fabric.

The chair is highly adjustable too. Seat height, forward and back tilt tension, arm height, arm angle (the arms turn inward and outward according to where they are comfortable), forward tilt, tilt limiter, and the lumbar depth adjustment. It comes with a booklet and the Herman Miller website also has videos on how to adjust the chair. [...]

I’ve found that the forward tilt is an added comfort I’ve not had in the past. If I have to reach forward for something the chair follows me and keeps my back and hips well supported.
The MSRP for a chair with the options I chose is 50.00. But, I don’t know anyone why actually pays full price. The “street” price varies quite a lot. I found a company that sells on eBay (seller ID “drtomy”), Amazon.com (“BackStore”), and their own website [...]

I ended up paying 7.00 for the chair shipped to my door.
Assembly was very easy. It took about 5 minutes and the necessary allen wrench is provided. The only thing I needed a little bit of help with was fishing the lumbar support control cable through the fabric and to the adjustment mechanism. Once I had an extra pair of hands it took only a couple of minutes.

I could tell this was a way different chair immediately. It’s actually quite heavy in comparison with any other chairs I’ve owned. I watched the videos, and read the adjustment booklet while I set everything to my liking. The chair is basically personalized for the owner by making the various adjustments. Other people can sit in it OK but they won’t feel as comfortable as if it were adjusted specifically for them.

I think this is the best chair I’ve ever owned. It’s comfortable, heavy duty, and I expect that it will last me a very long while. If anything should break, the 12 years in home parts and labor warranty gives me a lot of peace of mind.

The price of this chair is on the high end but it’s far and beyond what you would expect a chair to be. My low back and hips feel so much better and I can sit in it all day if necessary with complete comfort. So, I feel it was money well spent. I highly recommend the Aeron chair…

An Investment for Your Back and Spine, November 17, 2008

The chair is amazing and helps alleviate a lot of back pain caused from desk work. Herman Miller is definitely the best ergonomic designer and manufacturer of chairs.

There is no difference between this chair and the aluminum one other than materials for aesthetic appeal. They function the EXACT same way but you pay more for “metal” versus graphite. The better value is this one, the graphite classic.

A plus is this company VitalityWeb (aka BACKSTORE from Amazon). Shipped fast, shipped in perfect condition, brand new… These chairs are NOT supposed to come pre-assembled — if you buy one that does, then it is a USED chair or a floor model. If it is NOT assembled, double-check and look for a paper tag that should be on the seat height lever. It will be impossible to remove this paper tag without RIPPING it (and no way to put it on unless you were the one building it prior to installing the lever). If there is no Herman Miller paper/tag attached, it is USED.

They have more selection than DWR (Design Within Reach, a very high-end designer store) and Great Outdoors combined. NO TAX, FREE SHIPPING, NO HASSLE, GREAT PRICE.

Just make sure you know your size and type of chair you want before you buy. Simply visit a DWR or Great Outdoors store and sample these chairs there. Then buy them from Amazon without the hassle of carrying the large box yourself, paying for taxes, dealing with a salesrep, or getting a floor model.

good sturdy chair for the price. The mesh isn’t “herman miller” awesome, but it’s reasonably supportive and breaths well. Keeps my back comfy even after sitting in it all day as my main desk chair at home. No rocking, squeaking, or wiggling, if you put in the elbow grease during assembly. Put it all together loosely first, then tighten all the bolts at the same time, tightening each one a little more in turn. and really batton them down.

Great Chair – Great Price, July 25, 2011

INTRO:
Well, I’ve had this chair for about a month now, and to be honest I really like this chair a lot. It’s a very basic chair, but the pneumatic lift goes WAY up high (and way down low too), at least three inches higher than my last chair from the office supply store.

SEAT:
The foam is a little stiff at first, but I think that’s better. It’s not hard at all, you just don’t sink way down in it. The arms are vertically adjustable about 3″ or so.

BACK: The back is of course mesh, so there isn’t much to say about it except opinion. I like the mesh back because of the ventilation, much cooler in my chair now, and don’t need the desk fan – also I’ve had problems with the cushion breaking down and the lumbar supports jabbing me in the back. This can’t happen with this chair. The mesh gives just a tad for comfort, but always retains it’s shape.

BASE:
Very smooth rollers. It comes with “carpet” rollers, but I use a plastic mat under the chair anyway, so I can’t say if they dig in or not, however, I will say the chair rolls very nicely, swivels nicely, and the legs don’t stick way out from under the chair like my old chair. I don’t have to turn the base of the chair so one leg doesn’t hit the desk – they’re just a hair bigger than the seat cushion.

RECLINE:
If I was going to take off anything, this would be the area. The recline is very stiff out of the box, but you can adjust that with a knob, so it’s no big deal. It adjusts from very free to no recline – and also has a lockout for the recline feature. All this aside, only the back reclines. The seat reclines a little bit (it’s a cantilever design), but not the same amount as the back. At first this was very odd, but now I really like it.

ASSEMBLY:
Pretty straightforward. There’s a yellow card included with the packaging to file a claim directly if some parts are missing, but all mine were there and it took me about 15 minutes to put the chair together… mostly because I put the left arm on the right side and vice versa. Totally my fault, they’re clearly labeled with arrows on the base and everything. Just got in a hurry. NO EXTRA TOOLS REQUIRED. It comes with all the tool you need. Yes, there’s only one. A small Allen key wrench that is more than up to the task.

PRICE:
The best part about this chair is the price. I don’t know of a chair this good under 0 – I’m a big guy, and because of that I do tend to wear out chairs. I’ve sat in a few to say the least… I think this one is going to last quite a while. I’ve had it for a month now as I said, and it still looks and feels brand new every day.

That’s really all there is too it. I like to read the reviews when I buy anything, so I figured I’d leave one with my honest opinion. I shopped around a lot before I bought this chair – and quite simply there’s nothing that can touch it in price/quality.

Worth the price, Plus!, July 24, 2011

The chair arrived three days before estimate. Assembly instructions are clear; a person with average mechanical skill should have no problems.

Chair is better than anticipated; casters a very good size, all parts a properly finished, back support is excellent and it is extremely comfortable.

Masking Tape Gives TN-350 Toner a Second Life, August 25, 2008

I get 800 to 1100 extra copies from each cartridge.

After the “Toner Life End” message appears, it refuses to print even one more copy. Offensive…until you show it who’s in charge.

Remove the cartridge and find 2 clear plastic port holes, one on each side. The printer shines a light through these to decide when to shut you off. But it’s too sudden and too early.

Cover one or both windows with a small piece of masking tape. You can put the tape on the outer drum unit holes if you prefer. I get about 3400 copies per cartridge instead of 2400.

I really like Brother printers now that I have taught them some manners.

Necessary Supply; Replacement Can be Delayed, February 22, 2007

I had this rushed a few weeks ago because my HL-2070N kept refusing to operate every ~20 pages due to a low toner error. However, unlike on most laser printers, the print quality was still perfect at this point — no streaking or blank spots. The problem is that the printer senses that it is nearing the end of the cartridge and refuses to continue, even with toner remaining.

Based on some web searching, it seems that the sensor is based on shining light into a ~1/4″ hole on the side that goes through the entire length of the cartridge. Covering this hole with black electrician’s tape has let me print a few hundred more pages, with no problems so far and still no sign that the toner is running out.

So, it’s good to have a spare on hand, but it hasn’t yet been necessary to install it.

Very Low Capacity toner cartridge., August 9, 2007

I am a fan of brother DCPs and MFCs because they have excellent scanning and come with PaperPort scanning document managment software. I have a brother multifunction at every one of the 7 workstations in my law firm.
I purchased several DCP 7020s because the price was under 0 each. But they use these TN 350s which are a total rip off. Here are the specs. These TN-350s cost and claim a capacity of 2500 pages.
Other Brother printers use higher capacity toners, such as the TN-580, which is rated at 7,000 pages and cost . Do the math. The cheap printer turns out much more expensive very quickly because you go through toners so fast. With a claimed capacity of 2500, in reality you’re lucky to get 2000 pages. Imagine buying a new toner for every 4 reams of paper you go through! SO, I as soon as I get my first “change drum” message, I am going to trash these little Brothers and get one of their higher speed larger models. The extra couple hundred on the equipment will be paid off in toner savings in no time.

Vibrant Photos And Much More, August 28, 2010

Upon opening the printer box I was pleasantly surprised to see the printer enclosed in a carry all bag to make removal a snap. (great bag to use for groceries, etc)

I installed the printer using the wireless setup wizard and the printer installed without a problem. However, the software would not recognize the printer’s IP address. I tried to uninstall and then install the software, restarting my computer, disabling the firewall, etc. etc. to no avail. So, I decided to print directly from the printer. I scanned documents, and that worked fine.
The time frame to print a scan of a document from scan to print is about a minute and the result is that the black ink seemed slightly lighter. But, regular documents have vibrant black ink. I also scanned a photo and the result was great!

The next day, I wanted to connect using a USB cable, but the printer did not come with one. So, I had to grab a USB cable from my old printer. The set up then continued quickly and I could print from my computer. While connected through the USB cable, I printed several family photos and the results were fantastic. The pictures are clear and the color is vivid. Really superior pictures and they are printed quickly.
I then called HP (on a Saturday) which has 24/7 tech support to find out why I couldn’t use the printer wirelessly. We were on the phone for about an hour coming to the conclusion that I needed to change the security setting on my router from WEP to WPA. The agent was very helpful. I thought the customer service was one of the best that I have had to deal with. I did have to call my router provider to make the necessary changes. I wanted to make sure I did that correctly but those comfortable with this type of set up shouldn’t have a problem. The call was quick and easy and I can now print wirelessly.

All the while, I printed lots of family photos using the software included with the printer. The picture quality is fantastic; it’s very colorful. I am very satisfied with the results.
The software is easy enough to use and I am still checking out all the options, but overall there are lots of backgrounds and print options. One thing I was looking for was printing multiple pictures on one page of photo paper. With the collage feature you can manage that task when you arrange the photos accordingly. There are plenty of themes such as holidays, baby, travel, kids and teens, sports, etc. You can touch up the photo by adjusting cropping, brightness, and red eye and you can also add text.
The printer looks almost as good as the pictures it prints. I really like it’s sleek black design. I also loved the fact that HP included a whole pack of 4×6 paper. After printing 25 4×6 prints and 1 8×10 print the ink levels are still more than 3/4 full.
Since my main focus for this printer is printing and scanning photos I am thrilled, the photo quality is superior.

First let me start by saying that this printer is immaculately packed for easy removal from the box. I have never received a printer that the cables are all stored in a reusable HP zippered accessory bag and the printer is in a LARGE canvas tote bag with handles to slide out of the box with not tugging, pushing or using your feet.

The HP printer is a beauty in a sleek high black gloss finish. It comes with power AC adapter plug, phone line, installation CD, quick reference book, HP photo paper samples and two face plates (one English & one French). It DOES NOT come with the USB cable. This does not surprise me since most printers now-a-days do not include the USB cable.

After removing all the tape used to keep the printer intact during shipment, I plugged in the unit as instructed in the quick reference book. Since I have a wireless home network, I was able to connect to my network using the WiFi Protected Setup (WPS). After verifying the network name and entering my paraphrase (password) it was online in seconds. I then followed the “animated” instructions on the LCD screen on how to install the ink cartridges and paper. There is a one time initial installation that the printer cycles through that takes about 7 minutes. It downloaded updates, this is all happening without having to use my computer. The printer spit out a test page showing that the printer head had been aligned/calibrated.

Now it was time to install the CD. I am using it in a Windows 7 environment and the installation took about 8 minutes, so it is quite a large file. I followed the easy steps to setup photo printing, fax number and registration and I was done. The printer was ready to use.

I have many printers in my home since we have a large family with a total of 6 computers/laptops, but this is my first HP printer and I can honestly say this is by far the nicest, fastest and easiest to use printer I possess. The colored printouts are beautiful in vivid colors, no smudges or lines. It does only come with “setup” ink cartridges so I don’t know how long they will actually last without being replaced. The ink cartridges “HP 564″ series are quite reasonably priced. Depending on which cartridges you go with, the HP564 yield approximately 250-300 pages while the HP 564XL series yield about 600-700. It takes a total of 5 ink cartridges – black, Photo black (item #CB322WN), cyan, magenta and yellow.

THIS IS A PHOTOSMART PRINTER (e-all-in-one) BUT IS NOT CONSIDERED A PHOTOSMART “PLUS” PRINTER. This makes it confusing when searching for ink cartridges.

Forget buying a printer, buy an All-in-One!, September 15, 2010

Having already owned an HP all-in-one printer, I already had high expectations before even opening the box of the HP C410 series printer. Needless to say, my expectations were greatly exceeded.

-Slight Digression-
The first thing you notice when you open the box is how well the contents are organized. Everything is packed in an individual bag. There is no turning the box upside down, no yanking and turning, no fetching your girlfriend, wife, or significant other to hold the box upside down while you pull the printer out. You just effortlessly grab the handles of the bag and lift (with the box right side up). The bag the printer comes in is oversized and it is reusable. It even had washing care instructions on the tag, so there’s a bonus already. I know, I know, what about the printer? I just thought this was very unique and interesting to have a usable bag to include with a printer of all things. Now on to what you stopped by this review for.

-Printer Review-
The printer itself is very sleek and modern with its shiny black finish. It is well taped to avoid any damage in shipping. The accessories included are packed in a small, easy to carry, reusable zipper bag. It’s perfect for carrying computer accessories like power cords, if you have a laptop. The accessories that come with the computer include 5 ink cartridges, a set-up CD, AC adapter plug, phone plug, quick reference guide, two face plates (on in English and one in French), and sample photo paper (50 included). The printer does not come with a USB cable (as it wants you to use its wireless feature, which requires a wireless router and internet connection), so you would need to buy this separately if you need one. The printer also has slots for your camera’s flash memory cards and a front USB port for digital cameras and removable drives.

The actual set-up of the printer was a breeze. Simple plug and play. There are step-by-step instructions in the quick reference guide as well as an animated tutorial on the 2.4 inch color LCD screen that allow you set up and connect your printer. It also guides you in inserting the ink cartridges and setting up a wireless network connection. So if you never read the instructions, the screen on the printer will guide you through its integrated video setup wizard. Takes about 10 minutes max to complete and calibrate. After this, you still have to put in the included CD in a computer to load the drivers (compatible with Windows and Mac) , and set up photo imaging and fax, which also takes roughly ten minutes. Then, finally, it is time to start using your printer.

There are some amazing and ingenious features on this printer. Aside from doing the most obvious tasks of printing, faxing, scanning, and copying, it also allows you to utilize the web. Apps available on the printer, such as Disney Online, tabloid, weathernews, websudoku and current event apps allows you to print from the web without a PC. However, in order to use these apps you of course need to be connected to a router of some sort for internet connection (which I mentioned earlier, in order to get full use of this printer you will need an internet connection). A USB connection alone will not enable functions of this task nor will it enable apps.

Moreover, you can print from anywhere, anytime, with any device using HP ePrint. This alone has to be the selling point for me on this printer. At the end of set up, the printer will print out a page detailing a website to visit along with a code to enter at this website, along with your printers very own e-mail address. This is also an easy set up once you access this website. And it’s free. Once this is completed you are able to send photos, documents, and PDF files to your printer. I tried this with my iPhone, blackberry, laptop and from a work computer and it worked flawlessly and as advertised. You are also able to create an Allowed Senders List to manage access to your printer and to set options for senders.

While faxing I was able to fax in color or black and white, which was rather speedy for a consumer printer.
It advertises that it can print up to 33 ppm black, 32 ppm color sheets, and found it to be a little faster than that, even when printing at best quality. Draft was slightly faster. Oh yea, it also prints double-sided.

The quality of photos being printed on this are absolutely astonishing. I have never seen such vivid colors of a photo coming from a printer. There were no obvious lines or smudges on any of the photos I printed. To test this, I printed pictures from my computer, camera and from my blackberry and iPhone and the quality was the same for all. The photo paper that the printer comes had an instant-dry feature. Excellent 4 in 1, November 25, 2011

Good price thru Amazon. Easy setup. Completely compatible with MacBookPro Snow Leopard. Have not hooked up WiFi but am sure it would work fine.
I am 84, not an advanced computer user so got quick answers to some questions using their online chat support system and easily downloaded user manuals. It is relatively quiet and speedy. Very satisfied.

Everything I expected, November 29, 2011

I ordered the printer from Amazon and received in 2 days (…nice job, Amazon). The setup was very easy on my Win7 PC, taking about 30 minutes total. The fax setup instructions were a bit confusing, but reading them a second time was helpful. Setting up the wireless connection was also a bit confusing, but mostly because I wasn’t sure whether my router had the auto-setup feature described in Brother’s instructions. (It did not, but once I realized this, the setup took about 1 minute). The instructions recommend printing a color picture from their library to insure the printer works properly. I was pretty astounded at the quality of the picture…coming from this relatively inexpensive printer. Nice features?…duplex printing, built-in card readers, fax, copier, scanner, and of course wireless. I am very impressed with Brother’s attention to detail and quality. As it should, everything worked out of the box. Only downside is that I wish it printed a bit faster, but I shouldn’t expect better performance from this price-range of printers.

Very nice for the price!, December 18, 2011

I just set up a wireless home network and the Brother fit right in. I tried to get the printer on the network without reading the instructions without much success. After reading instructions it took less than 5 minutes to set up(LOL.) The print quality can be set for saving ink for everyday documents to very high quality to print your own photos. The touchscreen is awesome and makes the interface from the printer very easy to use. Scanning looks great and the output can be how/where ever you want it. Some of the features takes a little getting use to and is not as fast I thought but over all an excellent product for the price. I would definitely recommend Brother to friends and family.

Some assembly required, December 21, 2010

We bought these chairs in our office, first from overstock.com. Didn’t realize they required assembly, which wasn’t a huge problem for us since we haven’t been to busy, but for some it would be a consideration, I’m sure!

Two of the 4 chairs we bought from overstock.com were defective- the screws and holes didn’t line us. Returned them and bought two from amazon. These were less expensive and went together great! They look very nice and are comfortable.

Love this Chair! They look great in the reception room at a doctors office. They are very sturdy and well made. Easy to put together!! That is a plus when you have 8 to do. Amazon was great about retuning one that had been damaged in shipping. Their customer service is excellent! Great price for a great quaility chair.

This chair is perfect for my office. Easy assembly. Good color and quality wood. The vinyl is nice but a little stiff, don’t expect soft leather! Good quality over all for the price.
